MICROSOFT DISCOVER WORKSHOPS: AZURE MIGRATION

Syone and Microsoft get together once again for the Azure Migration Workshop

Syone and Microsoft started a 3 session workshop on September 6, with the Azure Cloud Essentials Workshop, the purpose of the session was to create a solid foundation for Microsoft Azure's environment.

For the second one, on October 15 at Microsoft's HQ in Portugal, the attendees had the opportunity to join a level 300 technical workshop, introducing Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework & Cloud Journey, helping them realize how important it is to migrate your VMs to Azure.

The workshop covered the following subjects:

• Introduction to the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure: focus on the tools that enables you to support the Cloud journey, particularly Migration, and fundamentally the importance of a well designed architecture.
• Prepare your environment: understand how to scale the resources you need for Azure.
• Virtual Machine Discovery and Evaluation: use the right tools to evaluate environments on VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Windows Server & Linux using techniques (with and without agents), moving groups and viewing various application dependencies.
• VMs Migration to Azure: take advantage of Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for migrations.
• Optimisation: next steps overview, concepts, and best practices for Azure Optimisation, based on the Cloud Adoption Framework.

As Microsoft Gold Partner in Portugal, it was great to share with the attendees the best way to improve and scale their services with the Azure Migration.
